Kallady bridge

Kallady Bridge is a historic bridge located in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka, connecting the town of Kallady with the Batticaloa city area across the Batticaloa Lagoon. Originally built during the British colonial period in 1924, it is one of the oldest iron bridges in the country. The bridge is famous for the nearby “Singing Fish” phenomenon, where mysterious musical sounds are believed to come from fish in the lagoon during certain nights. With scenic lagoon views and cultural significance, Kallady Bridge remains an important landmark and a symbol of Batticaloa’s history and local folklore.
