Horton Plains Park

Horton Plains National Park is a stunning highland plateau located in Sri Lanka’s central mountains, near Nuwara Eliya. Situated at an elevation of over 2,000 meters, the park is known for its cool climate, rolling grasslands, misty forests, and rich biodiversity. It is home to unique wildlife such as sambar deer, purple-faced langurs, and many endemic bird species. One of its most famous attractions is World’s End, a dramatic cliff with a sheer drop of about 870 meters, offering breathtaking views on clear mornings. Baker’s Falls, another highlight, adds to the park’s natural beauty and tranquil charm.
